Phaseform develops refractive adaptive optics (AO) systems based on innovative hardware and software components. At the heart of our approach to AO is a novel optofluidic microsystem technology that we call Deformable Phase Plate (DPP). Its unique features combine the advantages of deformable mirrors and transmissive liquid crystal spatial light modulators in a compact form, thus paving the way for a new class of ultra-compact, high-efficiency, transparent wavefront modulators.
