Lithographically Structured Layers

Lithographically Structured Layers

LAYERTEC offers structured layer systems using lithography. Segmented components are used for lateral phase and/or amplitude modulation and are suitable for mode selection or beam splitting, etc. The structured components are designed for usage in high-power laser systems, the edges of the structures are laser-resistant up to the kW range.

LAYERTEC's graduated filters (down to 8x8 mm) are used for example in measurement technology as a sensor extension for spectral analysis. They are suitable for particularly small sensor areas and can have a lateral shift of the transmitted wavelengths of up to 30 nm/mm.

Low Loss Optics

Low Loss Optics

Low Loss mirrors are characterized by extremely low absorption and scattered light losses. Available reflectivities exceed 99.999%. To achieve this, the quality of substrate surface and coating must be exceptionally high. Low loss mirrors are primarily used for frequency measurements of electromagnetic radiation and in CRD spectrometers.

LAYERTEC produces on customer request special dielectric systems with an adapted influence of the phase response in the wavelength range 200 - 5000 nm. GDD values of -10,000 fs² are achieved. For mutual compensation of GDD oscillations, the use of a chirped mirror pair is recommended.

Large Optics up to 2000 mm

LAYERTEC manufactures optics with edge lengths up to 2000 mm, encompassing flat, spherical, cylindrical, and aspherical forms, available for both individual and series production. Specialized measurement technology is used to confirm all optical parameters. Additionally, the company offers coatings for UV to IR applications, suitable for optics with edge lengths up to 1000 mm.

LAYERTEC develops chirped mirrors tailored to customer specifications, offering adjustable phase responses across a broad wavelength range from 200 to 5000 nm. These mirrors achieve Group Delay Dispersion (GDD) values down to -10,000 fs². For optimal GDD oscillation compensation, a chirped mirror pair is recommended. Currently, LAYERTEC is developing chirped mirrors with GDD values up to -50,000 fs², available in limited quantities for R&D applications.
