AO NightN Ltd. mainly designs and produces complex adaptive systems to be used to control and shape high power laser beams. We are also applying our technique and in adaptive imaging systems and for the astronomical and medical purposes.
Hartmannometer is used to measure the quality of the optical surfaces and can substitute an interferometer. It has a wide dynamic range and allows to test optics with P-V up to 150 um, accuracy of measurements is lambda/10.
Bimorph and stacked-actuator deformable mirrors (both water-cooled and non-water-cooled) are used to correct, control, and shape laser beams. The mirrors have optical quality and high reflectivity (up to 99.9%). The mirrors are not damaged under high power.
The system is intended to correct for the aberrations of the laser beam. The system consists of a deformable bimorph mirror (bimorph or stacked-actuator) as a wavefront corrector, a wavefront sensor using a modified Shack-Hartmann technique to measure the wavefront gradient, and the software realizing closed-loop algorithms.
