2-Pigment ePaper
Black and White Electronic Ink is based on a series
of fluid-packed microcapsules , one for each screen
pixel , which contain tiny balls coloured black and
white and charged negative and positive respec-
tively . By changing the charge underneath the
capsules the balls can be made to sink , or float ,
with shades of grey achieved by mixing black and
white areas within a single capsule.

3 - Pigment Electronic Ink is composed of millions of microcups , and each microcup contains black,white and red, or black, white and yellow charged particles which are suspending in a clearfluid . When a positive or negative electric field is applied , corre- sponding particles move to the top of the microcup where they become visible as red or yellow on the surface.
4-Pigment ePaper
4-Pigment Electronic Ink is composed of millions of microcups, and each microcup contains positively charged red and black particles and negatively charged yellow and white particles. When a nega- tive electric field is applied , red particles move to the top of the microcup. Black particles move to the top by division of positive electric field.
Color ePaper
Color ePaper is composed of microcups that contains 4-pigment charged particles. When a positive or negative electric field is applied , corresponding particles move to the top of microcup where they mix together to achieve different colors and dynamically display a full color gamut.
